How preorders work

What a preorder is

A pre-order is a non-binding registration of interest in a product that is not yet in stock, typically upcoming sets and new releases before their official launch. It is neither an order nor a purchase contract: once the goods are in stock we send you a payment request, and the contract is formed only by your payment. With a pre-order you reserve a place in the queue. For limited products, not every pre-order can necessarily be fulfilled — it depends on the quantity we receive from the distributor.

How it works

1. On the detail of a product marked as a preorder, click to preorder.
2. You create the preorder without paying in advance, reserving your place in the queue.
3. Once the product is in stock, we will e-mail you a payment request; the purchase contract is formed only by your payment. If interest exceeds the quantity allocated to pre-orders, we allocate the goods under the rules below and cancel the pre-orders left without goods.
4. After the payment is credited, we dispatch the order just like a regular order.

If interest exceeds the quantity

For products where demand exceeds the quantity we have available for pre-orders, we allocate units taking into account in particular the order of the pre-orders, previous cooperation (purchases, tournaments, events) and a fair distribution among customers. If no unit is left for you, we will let you know by e-mail and cancel the pre-order. You pay nothing and no obligation arises for you.

Stock arrival date

We state the expected availability date on the product if it's known. Release dates are set by the manufacturer and may shift; we'll inform you of any change.

Canceling a preorder

Since you pay nothing up front for a pre-order, you can cancel it at any time before the payment request — just write to us at info@krakencards.eu or use the link in the confirmation e-mail. After the payment request you have 24 hours to pay; after payment and dispatch the standard return and complaint conditions apply (for random-content goods you are liable for the reduction in value once the packaging is opened).
